"Wonderful" was one of four projects tended to by our services.
From the word GO, we were involved, and still manage her through her second very successful charter season in the Caribbean. The owner consulted with Mr Warren East (East Yachts Co Founder and class 4 licensed cpt. MA. in product design and ergonomy) for over three years before he decided to go ahead and start the project.
During that period, Everything was laid out from a charter business plan to the brand of winch. and on the commencement of the project he had the comfort of knowing that there was somebody he could trust come hell or high water to look out for his best interests from an internal position within the shipyard.
Not only did we consult on every single detail of the construction but we made sure that every item was implement correctly and according to the manner in which they would be used and maintained.
Since launch, Wonderful has been visited by many people during several boat shows and we have heard frequent comments on how well she is designed and built. Her paying charter guests are amazed by the level of comfort she offers not to mention her sea going capabilities which we put down to the great relationship we established with SparCraft, Berret Racoupeau Navel Architect Bureau d'etude, Spencer Easton for Halsey Lidgard Sails and the shipyard, Yachts Industries who were contracted by Yapluka Yachts to build the boat.
When our 4th customer came along with his own project manager, It was clear from the start that the work and thought that had been put into Wonderful was priceless in that it complimented their view of how a large catamaran should function.
Needless to say the Yapluka 70 number 2 born.
Just as we did with the owner of Wonderful, We worked closely with the project manager / Captain of Belladonna to maximize the services of the shipyard. Although the interior layout was to all intent in purpose, the same thing only mirrored, there were subtle differences made to suit the taste of her owners. She also benefits from a Carbon mast but all in all they are very similar yachts that have made their owners extremely satisfied and have expressed their gratitude for our involvement.
